This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle (CDL Class A) to deliver food products to various customer locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects.
- Load and unload products from the truck using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
- Verify accurate product counts and complete delivery paperwork with customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure proper handling of food products.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic math skills for accurate order verification
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with food service delivery
- Familiarity with local delivery routes in the Memphis area
- Experience operating electric pallet jacks and hand trucks
