Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Gas Driver with a specialized focus on cryogenic operations. This critical role involves the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of cryogenic liquids (such as liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon) to our diverse customer base. The successful candidate will operate tanker trucks, manage loading and unloading procedures, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure strict adherence to all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Key Responsibilities
- Operate cryogenic tanker trucks to transport industrial gases to customers and Airgas facilities.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Safely load and unload cryogenic products, adhering to all safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including manifests, delivery tickets, and logbooks, accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring proper care and maintenance of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding deliveries and schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, resolving minor issues or escalating as needed.
- Respond promptly to calls, especially for critical deliveries, and manage time efficiently to meet delivery windows.
Required Skills
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Endorsement
- Tanker Endorsement
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience with a Class A CDL
- Proven experience handling cryogenic liquids and equipment
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a cryogenic tanker driver
- Experience with specific cryogenic gases (LOX, LIN, LAR, LNG)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Mechanical aptitude for minor truck maintenance and troubleshooting
