Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Vocal Coach to join our professional studio team in New Port Richey. This role is perfect for an experienced vocalist and educator dedicated to nurturing talent, refining technique, and inspiring confidence in students of all levels. As a Vocal Coach, you will be responsible for providing personalized instruction, developing engaging curriculum, and guiding students towards their vocal goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of vocal pedagogy, various musical genres, and a proven ability to motivate and educate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group vocal instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and goals.
  • Teach fundamental vocal techniques including breath control, pitch, rhythm, diction, and vocal health.
  • Introduce students to various musical styles and genres, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Prepare students for performances, auditions, and recordings.
  • Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with students and parents (if applicable).
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
  • Stay current with best practices in vocal pedagogy and music education.
  • Participate in studio events, recitals, and promotional activities as required.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Vocal Coach or similar teaching role.
  • Proven expertise in vocal pedagogy and technique across multiple genres (e.g., classical, pop, rock, jazz).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a schedule of lessons.
  • Proficiency in basic music theory and sight-reading.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or Music Education.
  • Experience with recording software and studio equipment.
  • Performance experience in professional settings.
  • Certification in specific vocal methodologies (e.g., IVA, Estill Voice Training, Somatic Voicework™).
