Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Walmart as a Retail Warehouse Associate! This role is crucial to our store’s success, ensuring that products are received, stocked, and organized efficiently within our retail warehouse environment. You will play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting our sales floor, and ultimately enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in the retail warehouse, ensuring proper rotation and product accessibility.
- Verify incoming shipments against invoices and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely and responsibly (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse and backroom areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor, including ticketing, packaging, and moving items.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with sales floor associates to ensure timely product replenishment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing inventory.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or stockroom environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
