Job Description

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Video Editor to join our dynamic content creation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting engaging short-form video content, specifically for platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, to support Google’s various product and brand initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging talent to develop their skills, work with cutting-edge tools, and contribute to projects with massive global reach. You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and product teams to bring compelling visual stories to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging short-form videos (e.g., YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels).
  • Apply motion graphics, titles, transitions, and sound design to enhance video quality.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with Google's brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Collaborate with content strategists, marketers, and designers to understand project objectives and deliver impactful visuals.
  • Manage and organize video project files, assets, and archival footage.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders efficiently to refine video edits.
  • Stay updated on current video editing trends, techniques, and platform best practices for short-form content.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Basic understanding of motion graphics and visual effects.
  • Strong eye for detail, composition, and storytelling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous video editing projects, especially short-form content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics software.
