Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacy Assistant to join our professional team in New Port Richey, FL. In this crucial role, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care. Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting daily pharmacy operations, managing inventory, preparing medications under supervision, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and supplies.
  • Process insurance claims and assist patients with billing inquiries.
  • Maintain patient profiles and records with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, data entry, and filing.
  • Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and sanitation standards.
  • Support pharmacists in clinical activities, including medication reconciliation and patient education under direct supervision.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal laws.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and pharmacy software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
