Job Description
Join Teladoc Health, the world’s largest virtual care company, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This is a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services to patients across various states, all from the comfort of your home. You will be instrumental in expanding access to much-needed psychiatric care, leveraging cutting-edge telehealth technology to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical autonomy, and a supportive team environment focused on innovation in virtual health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and brief psychotherapy interventions.
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records.
- Participate in regular peer reviews and continuing education activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines for psychiatric practice and telehealth.
Required Skills
- Active, unencumbered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in at least one US state.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 3 years of post-licensure experience as a PMHNP in an outpatient or telehealth setting.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on patient engagement.
- Comfort and proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple active state licenses (compact or individual).
- Experience with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Board certification as a PMHNP.
- Experience with integrated care models.
