Job Description
Join Truist Bank as a Bank Compliance Assistant with a focus on regulatory adherence. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home combined with essential in-office collaboration in Wesley Chapel, Florida. You will play a crucial part in supporting our compliance department, ensuring that our banking operations align with all relevant federal and state regulations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating compliance risks. You will contribute to maintaining the integrity and reputation of Truist by assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and interpreting banking laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA/AML, Reg E, CCPA, GDPR).
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
- Help maintain and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulations.
- Conduct initial reviews of transactions and operations for potential compliance violations.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining compliance documentation and records.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Participate in internal compliance audits and examinations, gathering requested documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the compliance team as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in banking, financial services, or a regulatory compliance environment.
- Strong understanding of fundamental banking principles and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of specific banking regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, Dodd-Frank Act, Consumer Protection Laws).
- Certification in compliance (e.g., CRCM, CAMS) or progress towards one.
- Experience with compliance management software or risk assessment tools.
