Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team for night shifts. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced RN to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced intensive care unit, managing critically ill patients with complex medical needs. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient's conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, including ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to life-saving situations, utilizing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Florida RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- CCRNC (Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification).
- Experience with various critical care subspecialties (e.g., cardiac, neuro, trauma ICU).
- PALS certification.
