Job Description
RBC is seeking a diligent and reliable Banking/Post Office Errand Aide to join our team in Ville-Marie. This role is crucial for supporting our branch operations by ensuring timely and secure execution of various local tasks. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, organized, and possess excellent time management skills, serving as a trusted local tasker for essential errands. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can contribute to the efficient functioning of our daily activities and uphold RBC’s commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently handle banking deposits, withdrawals, and other financial transactions as directed.
- Manage mail pick-up, drop-off, and package delivery to and from local post offices and other designated locations.
- Process and document all errands accurately, maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively with branch staff regarding errand status, potential delays, or issues encountered.
- Adhere to all RBC policies, procedures, and security protocols during the execution of tasks.
- Assist with other administrative support tasks as required to ensure smooth branch operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven reliability and trustworthiness with sensitive materials.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to navigate local areas efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (if applicable to errands outside walking distance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar errand or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with banking procedures or post office operations.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
- Comfortable with basic digital tools for task tracking and communication.
