Job Description

Express Scripts is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Pharmacy Technician Trainee program in a high-speed, dynamic environment. This ‘Subito’ (meaning ‘suddenly’ or ‘immediately’) role emphasizes quick learning and integration into our fast-paced operations. You will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals, learning the critical skills needed to support prescription processing, inventory management, and patient care coordination. Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply standard operating procedures for prescription intake, data entry, and processing with speed and accuracy.
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories.
  • Support the resolution of prescription discrepancies and insurance issues under supervision.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere strictly to all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding patient privacy and medication safety.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, ready to adapt to sudden changes or priorities.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment ('Subito' mindset).
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service or retail environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or healthcare processes.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
