Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our exceptional team at Omni Las Colinas Hotel. This role is crucial in creating a memorable first and last impression for our guests, embodying our 5-star service commitment. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in/check-out process.
- Manage guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations with precision and a helpful demeanor.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information.
- Proactively address and resolve guest concerns or complaints to their satisfaction, escalating issues as necessary to management.
- Process payments, handle cash, and maintain accurate records of transactions according to hotel policies.
- Provide comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and local attractions, offering personalized recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, upholding the hotel's aesthetic standards.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures and protocols.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn property management systems (PMS).
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with Opera PMS or similar hotel management software.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
