Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Office Coordinator to join our growing team in Tampa. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient registration, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information with accuracy.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure data entry is completed promptly and accurately.
- Process patient payments and co-pays, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and front office.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and mail distribution.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a positive team environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and empathetic demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field
- Previous experience in a front office, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
