Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Order Picker Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey. This combined skilled role involves operating various types of forklifts, primarily order pickers, to accurately and efficiently move, stack, and retrieve products. You will be instrumental in our warehouse operations, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate an order picker forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance (e.g., battery checks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Order Picker Forklift Driver.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proficiency in operating order pickers and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Adherence to strict safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with various warehouse picking methods (e.g., batch picking, zone picking).
- Previous experience in a high-volume distribution center.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
