Job Description
As an Associate Product Manager (APM) at Google, you’ll embark on an extraordinary journey developing innovative products that touch millions, if not billions, of users globally. This new graduate intake program is designed to cultivate future product leaders, providing hands-on experience across various Google products and platforms. You’ll work alongside experienced Product Managers, engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams, contributing to the full product lifecycle from ideation and strategy to launch and iteration. This role demands a blend of technical aptitude, business acumen, and a deep understanding of user needs, preparing you to drive impactful product decisions at one of the world’s leading technology companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user studies to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
- Assist in the development and execution of product roadmaps and feature prioritization.
- Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Analyze product performance data, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to optimize user experience and achieve product goals.
- Clearly communicate product vision, features, and benefits to internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion the user experience and ensure product quality and usability.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated interest and aptitude for technology and product development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in product management, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- Experience with data analysis, user research, or A/B testing.
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across teams.
