Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented WFH Apple Software Tester with a strong focus on Quality Assurance and Bug Tracking to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality of our Apple ecosystem software solutions (iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS). You will be responsible for executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and delivery of flawless user experiences on Apple platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans for Apple applications across various devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV).
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to ensure software quality.
- Accurately identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved without introducing new regressions.
- Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics.
- Stay updated with the latest Apple OS releases, devices, and testing methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, specifically with Apple operating systems (iOS, macOS).
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, TestRail).
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a remote team setting.
- Familiarity with various Apple devices and their unique testing considerations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for Apple platforms (e.g., XCUITest, Appium).
- Knowledge of Swift or Objective-C for basic understanding of code structure.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
