Job Description
As a Pinterest User Experience Aide specializing in Interface Testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and intuitiveness of our user interface. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to identify, document, and track UI bugs and inconsistencies, contributing directly to a seamless and delightful user experience for our global community. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for user-centered design, and a desire to kickstart a career in the tech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans for new and existing Pinterest features across various platforms (web, mobile iOS, Android).
- Identify, document, and report UI/UX bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues with clear, concise descriptions and reproducible steps.
- Collaborate with UX designers to understand design specifications and ensure implemented designs meet intended user experience goals.
- Provide constructive feedback on prototypes and early-stage designs from a user perspective.
- Maintain accurate records of testing activities, including test cases, results, and bug reports.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss findings, prioritize issues, and contribute to product improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with Pinterest's evolving design guidelines and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for visual discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of user interface (UI) principles.
- Familiarity with various web browsers and mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Prior exposure to user experience (UX) research or usability testing methodologies.
- Experience using Pinterest or other social media platforms extensively.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Communications).
