Job Description
Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling role that offers the flexibility of working from home? Teladoc Health is seeking a dedicated Telehealth Nurse to provide 100% remote triage and support services to our members. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking virtual care, performing comprehensive assessments, offering evidence-based advice, and facilitating appropriate care pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your clinical expertise in a dynamic virtual environment, helping patients navigate their health journeys from the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient assessments and triage calls to determine appropriate levels of care.
- Provide expert nursing advice, health education, and symptom management guidance to patients via phone or video conferencing.
- Facilitate timely referrals to primary care physicians, specialists, or emergency services as needed.
- Accurately document all patient interactions and care plans in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in all patient interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in telehealth.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (compact license preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in acute care, emergency medicine, or primary care.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment and triage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet access and a private, quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous experience in a telehealth or call center environment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
