Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tractor Trailer Operator to join our team for regional routes based out of Mississauga, Ontario. This full-time position offers excellent benefits, including comprehensive medical and dental coverage. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across designated regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks for regional transportation of goods.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight, following assigned routes and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and other documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding any delays or issues.
  • Adhere to all federal and provincial regulations, including hours of service.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, minimizing risks.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class AZ (or equivalent) driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience with tractor-trailers.
  • Clean driving abstract and criminal record check.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
  • Strong understanding of HOS regulations and provincial traffic laws.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with temperature-controlled freight or hazmat endorsements.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Proven track record of safe driving and on-time deliveries.
