Job Description
Rev.com is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Transcription Partners with a strong focus on USA English to join our freelance network. As a Transcription Partner, you will be responsible for accurately converting audio and video content into written text. This is a remote, flexible contract opportunity where you can set your own hours and work from anywhere. We provide access to a wide variety of content, from interviews and podcasts to lectures and corporate meetings, requiring excellent listening skills, grammar, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio and video files into written English text, maintaining a high level of fidelity to the original content.
- Adhere strictly to Rev.com's comprehensive style guide and client-specific instructions.
- Meet established deadlines for transcription projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Review and proofread your own work to eliminate grammatical errors, typos, and formatting inconsistencies.
- Ensure speaker identification is accurate and timestamps are correctly placed when required.
- Manage your workload efficiently to maximize productivity and income potential.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of USA English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Superior listening skills and the ability to discern speech in varying audio qualities.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM).
- Proficiency with transcription software and online platforms (training will be provided for our specific tools).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in transcription, captioning, or related language services.
- Familiarity with various accents and dialects within USA English.
