Job Description

Are you a high school student looking for your first step into the exciting world of fashion retail? Old Navy in Wesley Chapel is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a High School Sales Assistant. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn about retail operations, develop customer service skills, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience, while gaining valuable work experience in a leading fashion brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Assist with merchandising, including folding, hanging, and restocking merchandise.
  • Support fitting room operations, ensuring a smooth and helpful experience for customers.
  • Help with inventory management, including receiving and processing new shipments.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain store standards.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Previous experience in customer service or a team-oriented setting (e.g., volunteer work, school clubs).
