Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our warehouse operations team in Austin, Texas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records for a wide range of technology products. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, stocking, and distribution of technology components and finished products.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and conduct physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes, implementing corrective actions.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification preferred but training provided).
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to optimize inventory levels and flow.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports.
  • Identify and report any damaged, defective, or expired products.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating similar warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with SAP or Oracle inventory modules.
  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles.
  • Familiarity with technology products and components.
