Job Description
Swift Transportation is seeking dedicated and reliable Regional Truck Drivers to join our team in Tucson, AZ. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (Class A CDL truck) over designated regional routes.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, documenting any issues.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations, including DOT hours of service.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all required paperwork promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
- Ability to operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and other in-cab technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Experience with various trailer types (dry van, reefer).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
