Job Description
Join Superior Fence & Rail as a Fencing Installer Laborer and become a vital and integral part of our dedicated team in Ventura, California. This is an exceptional opportunity for motivated individuals eager to learn a skilled trade from the ground up and contribute directly to building essential infrastructure across both rural and residential settings. You will work closely alongside highly experienced professionals, providing crucial assistance with all facets of fence installation, from meticulous site preparation to the precise erection of various types of fencing. Key Responsibilities
- Assist diligently in the efficient loading and unloading of materials and tools at each job site.
- Perform essential site preparation tasks, including digging post holes, mixing concrete, and clearing areas for fence installation.
- Measure, cut, and meticulously install various fencing materials under the direct supervision of experienced installers.
- Actively help in the professional erection of diverse fence types, including wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain-link.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the workday.
- Rigorously adhere to all established safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures on every site.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with all team members, supervisors, and, when appropriate, clients.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform demanding physical labor, including consistently lifting heavy materials (up to 75 lbs), extensive digging, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Possession of a strong work ethic, exceptional reliability, and a commitment to punctuality.
- Capability to work effectively and productively in a wide range of outdoor weather conditions.
- A basic understanding and awareness of general construction site safety practices.
- Genuine willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions, and take direction effectively.
- A valid driver's license and dependable transportation to ensure timely arrival at various job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, general labor, or a related manual trade.
- Familiarity with the safe and efficient operation of common hand and power tools.
- Experience operating specialized equipment such as trenchers, skid steers, or other heavy machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or architectural schematics.
