Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Google Analyst with a focus on Business Intelligence to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to start their career in data analytics, specializing in leveraging Google’s powerful suite of tools to extract actionable insights. The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts and clients to develop reports, dashboards, and analyses that drive strategic business decisions. You will be instrumental in collecting, processing, and interpreting data from Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Cloud Platform, and other relevant Google products to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and measure performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of data from various Google platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Search Console).
- Support the development and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports using tools like Google Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) and other visualization platforms.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and alert stakeholders to significant trends or anomalies.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and analysis findings clearly and concisely.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Google product updates and best practices in business intelligence.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, articulating findings and insights effectively.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4 preferred) and its core functionalities.
- Basic understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel) for data organization and basic analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Demonstrated interest in data, analytics, and business intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Prior coursework or projects involving data analysis, statistics, or reporting.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of digital marketing concepts and metrics.
- Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) or other Google certifications.
- Familiarity with Google Ads reporting and campaign metrics.
