Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Roll-Off Truck Operator to join our environmental services team in Corpus Christi, TX. In this stable full-time position, you will be responsible for operating a roll-off truck to transport and dispose of waste and recycling materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, excellent driving skills, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and the public. Key Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks in a safe and efficient manner to collect and transport waste and recycling containers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and document findings.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Interact professionally with customers and the public, providing excellent service.
- Maintain accurate service records and logs, including routes, mileage, and materials collected.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or accidents immediately to supervision.
- Ensure proper securing of all loads prior to transport.
- Complete routes as scheduled and assist with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate a roll-off truck safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Physical ability to load/unload containers and perform vehicle inspections
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience operating roll-off trucks in a waste management or environmental services setting
- Knowledge of Corpus Christi metropolitan area routes
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting
