Job Description
Are you an experienced CDL-A truck driver seeking a rewarding career with consistent miles, excellent benefits, and the flexibility you deserve? FedEx Freight is looking for dedicated Multi-State Truck Drivers to join our team in Richland, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer) across state lines.
- Transport freight efficiently, adhering to all scheduled delivery and pickup times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and all required documentation.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers as needed.
- Represent FedEx Freight professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (preferred, but not always required)
- Familiarity with ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles/Triples endorsement
- Experience with LTL freight transportation
- Previous experience with a major freight carrier
