Job Description
Join the Target team in Carmel, Indiana, as a General Store Team Member. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals 18 years and older who are enthusiastic about providing exceptional guest service and contributing to a dynamic retail environment. You’ll be an integral part of our store operations, helping to ensure our shelves are stocked, our store is clean, and our guests have an enjoyable shopping experience. This role offers hands-on experience, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career advancement within Target.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with a friendly and helpful attitude, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, handling transactions and processing returns efficiently.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain product displays according to company standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and backroom organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor, backroom, and checkout areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and provide support where needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
