Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team in Leicester. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic systems.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Repair, replace, or overhaul faulty components and wiring.
  • Calibrate and test avionics equipment using specialized tools and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with regulatory requirements (EASA, CAA, FAA) and company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Avionics Technician.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft electrical and electronic systems.
  • Experience with testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex avionics issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid aircraft maintenance license (e.g., EASA Part-66 B2, FAA A&P with Avionics endorsement, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific aircraft types relevant to Collins Aerospace products.
  • Familiarity with various communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant aviation regulations (e.g., EASA Part-145).
  • Prior experience in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment.
  • Vocational training or degree in Avionics Technology or a related field.
