Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bathroom Accessory Fitter to join our growing team. This role involves the precise and efficient installation of various bathroom accessories in customer homes, ensuring a high standard of finish and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, reliable, and possess excellent practical skills to handle quick handyman tasks related to bathroom fittings. You will play a crucial role in bringing our customers’ visions to life by ensuring all accessories are fitted perfectly and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a wide range of bathroom accessories, including towel rails, mirrors, shelves, soap dispensers, and toilet roll holders.
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit materials to ensure a seamless finish.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks where necessary for accessory installation (e.g., shower heads, taps).
- Ensure all installations meet health and safety standards and company quality guidelines.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing clear communication and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a tidy and organised work area, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer's home.
- Manage and track materials and tools efficiently.
- Provide feedback on product performance and installation challenges.
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fitting and installation work, preferably within bathrooms or kitchens.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of plumbing and carpentry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Carpentry, or a related trade.
- Prior experience working with a major bathroom or home improvement retailer.
- Customer service experience in a field-based role.
