Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Beverage Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team in Vallejo, CA. This is a high-activity role perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being on the road. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering a wide range of beverage products to various clients, including restaurants, bars, and retail stores, within local suburban areas. Attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a strong commitment to safety are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial delivery vehicle (e.g., box truck, step van) to transport beverage products.
- Load and unload beverage cases and kegs at client locations, often requiring physical strength and the use of hand trucks or other equipment.
- Verify product counts and condition against delivery invoices; obtain proper signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation.
- Handle cash and process payments as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C driver's license (or equivalent for the vehicle type) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads (up to 160 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling invoices and payments.
- Ability to work independently and manage a delivery route efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in beverage or food distribution.
- Familiarity with local Vallejo and surrounding suburban routes.
- Experience operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other delivery equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
