Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Cane Fruit Assistants to join our picking team in Salford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a hands-on role in the agricultural sector, with no prior experience or diploma required. Your primary responsibility will be the high-speed picking of various cane fruits, ensuring quality and efficiency. Full training will be provided to help you master the techniques for optimal yield and fruit care. This role is crucial to our operations, contributing directly to the freshness and availability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-speed picking of cane fruits (e.g., raspberries, blackberries) in accordance with quality standards and targets.
- Carefully handle delicate fruit to prevent bruising and ensure optimal freshness.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols for working in a farm or packhouse environment.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily picking quotas.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Report any issues with fruit quality or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to strict hygiene standards to ensure food safety.
