Job Description

Join our team in Aurora, Colorado, as a Cardboard & Packaging Removal associate. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our store’s efficiency and cleanliness by managing the removal and recycling of cardboard and other packaging materials. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently collect, sort, and consolidate cardboard and other packaging materials from various store departments and receiving areas.
  • Operate balers and compactors safely and effectively to process materials for recycling, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe recycling and waste management area at all times.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental guidelines for waste handling and equipment operation.
  • Perform routine checks and light maintenance on balers and compactors, reporting any issues to management.
  • Assist with other general store maintenance or cleanup tasks as needed to support a tidy shopping environment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items repeatedly (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
  • Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling carts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure proper sorting and handling of materials.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Basic communication skills to interact with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with waste management equipment such as balers and compactors.
  • A proactive attitude towards environmental sustainability and waste reduction.
