Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Computer Vision Engineer to join our innovative research and development team in Berkeley, CA. This role is crucial for developing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and systems that power our next-generation products in areas such as autonomous machines, augmented reality, and intelligent robotics. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced computer vision algorithms for various applications.
  • Implement and evaluate deep learning models for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D reconstruction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and research engineers to integrate computer vision solutions into products.
  • Conduct thorough experiments, analyze results, and present findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and AI research.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in C++ and Python.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in computer vision algorithm development and deep learning.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
  • Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet.
  • Solid understanding of classical computer vision techniques, linear algebra, and optimization.
  • Experience with image processing libraries like OpenCV.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time computer vision systems.
  • Familiarity with GPU programming (CUDA) and parallel computing.
  • Publications in top-tier computer vision conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS).
  • Experience with 3D vision, SLAM, sensor fusion, or augmented reality.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for model deployment.
  • Prior experience with large-scale data processing and machine learning pipelines.
