Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Cosmetic Inventory Manager to join our warehouse team in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. This pivotal role focuses on managing the stock levels and movement of our extensive range of cosmetic products within a busy distribution environment. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory accuracy, minimizing waste, and streamlining warehouse processes to support our retail network. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of all cosmetic inventory.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure data integrity and prevent discrepancies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts, investigating and resolving variances.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and retail teams to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions for cosmetic products to maximize space and efficiency.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards within the warehouse operations.
- Train and mentor junior inventory staff members as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably within a retail or warehouse environment.
- Proven experience with inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with various departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of best practices in supply chain and logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience specifically with cosmetic or beauty product inventory.
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
