Job Description
Join the UPS team as a Dock Associate and play a crucial role in our package handling operations. We are looking for dedicated individuals to assist with loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages within our fast-paced facility. This position offers a dynamic work environment where teamwork and efficiency are key to our success. We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus to eligible new hires. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Sort packages manually or with the aid of automated equipment into designated areas.
- Scan package labels accurately to track inventory and update shipping information.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed (training provided).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
- Basic English communication skills (read, write, speak).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
