Job Description
We are seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Seasonal Dock Workers in Downtown Albuquerque. This is a critical role responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight, sorting packages, and ensuring timely movement of goods within our fast-paced distribution center. This seasonal position comes with an attractive sign-on bonus for qualified candidates looking to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight manually or using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Sort and move freight, scanning labels, and ensuring proper placement within the dock.
- Inspect freight for damage and verify counts against manifests.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, performing daily inspections as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient freight flow and meet daily operational goals.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, or logistics environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
