Job Description
Are you looking for an entry-level opportunity in a dynamic warehouse environment? Sysco is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Electric Pallet Jack Operators. No prior experience or license is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success! In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating an electric pallet jack to move and organize products within our distribution center. Key Responsibilities
- Operate an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently to move and stage products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring accurate product placement and proper handling.
- Verify product count and condition, promptly reporting any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and other general warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- No prior experience with electric pallet jacks required; willingness to learn and be trained.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
