Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Factory Floor Administrator with a focus on Production Support to join our team in Palmdale, CA. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support directly on the factory floor. You will act as a central point of contact, facilitating communication between production teams, management, and other departments. This position is vital for maintaining accurate records, supporting production schedules, and contributing to overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate production records, logs, and databases.
  • Coordinate and track material movement, ensuring timely availability for production schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Liaise with various departments, including planning, logistics, and quality assurance, to resolve production-related issues.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of factory floor activities, including personnel and equipment.
  • Perform data entry for production metrics, inventory levels, and operational performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards on the factory floor.
  • Provide administrative support to production supervisors and managers as needed.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues that may impact production efficiency or quality.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong data entry and record-keeping abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production support role
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
