Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team in Irvine, California. This critical role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems within our logistics and package handling facilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of our automated systems, conveyors, and various industrial equipment, contributing directly to our operational efficiency and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, motor controls, and high-voltage distribution. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using schematics, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and apparatus.
  • Install new electrical equipment, wiring, and conduit according to blueprints and local electrical codes.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential hazards or system inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NEC).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with 480V, 277V, 208V, and 120V electrical systems.
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or vocational training in industrial electricity or a related field.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and industrial networking (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
  • Forklift certification and experience operating other heavy machinery.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs.
