Job Description
FedEx Ground is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Home Delivery Drivers for local suburban routes in the Victorville area. This is an entry-level position perfect for those looking to start a rewarding career in logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to residential addresses on assigned routes.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages, following established procedures.
- Scan and log package information using handheld devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with recipients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Victorville and surrounding High Desert areas.
- High school diploma or GED.
