Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Uniform Sorter to join our industrial support team in Ancoats, Manchester. This entry-level position is crucial to our operations, ensuring that all incoming uniforms and textiles are accurately sorted, catalogued, and prepared for processing or dispatch. If you have an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and are looking for a stable role within a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming deliveries of uniforms and textiles.
  • Accurately sort uniforms by type, department, customer, and soil level according to established procedures.
  • Inspect items for damage, missing components, or special cleaning instructions and flag them appropriately.
  • Operate basic sorting machinery and equipment safely and efficiently after training.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as required, including loading and unloading processed textiles.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Good physical stamina, capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 15kg.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with sorting systems or inventory management.
