Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our supply chain, from origin to destination. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation, managing documentation, and communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners to meet our operational goals and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor domestic and international freight movements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other compliance-related paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouses, and customers to provide updates and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays.
  • Manage inventory records and reconcile discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse operations.
  • Utilize logistics software and systems to schedule pickups, deliveries, and optimize routing.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
  • Assist in the analysis of logistics data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software (e.g., TMS, WMS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CTL).
  • Experience with FedEx internal systems and processes.
