Job Description
Are you skilled with tools and enjoy putting things together? TaskRabbit is looking for motivated and reliable Flat Pack Specialists in Irving, TX to join our network of independent Taskers for IKEA furniture assembly gigs. As a Tasker, you’ll connect with clients in your local area who need assistance assembling IKEA furniture and other flat-pack items. This is a flexible, contract-based opportunity to earn money on your own schedule by providing essential home services.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept and complete IKEA furniture assembly tasks booked through the TaskRabbit platform.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding task details, timelines, and expectations.
- Bring necessary tools and equipment to client locations for efficient and safe assembly.
- Ensure all furniture is assembled correctly, safely, and to the client's satisfaction, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and customer service at all times.
- Manage your schedule and availability through the TaskRabbit app, setting your own hours.
- Handle minor troubleshooting or adjustments as needed to ensure proper functionality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in assembling various types of flat-pack furniture, especially IKEA products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to client locations within Irving and surrounding areas.
- Ownership of a comprehensive set of assembly tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, hammer, power drill).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to follow intricate instructions and read assembly manuals accurately.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver furniture components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a handyman, carpenter, or professional furniture assembler.
