Job Description
Join Knight-Swift Transportation as a Local CDL-A Driver in Phoenix, Arizona, and enjoy the stability of home daily routes with a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500. We are seeking dedicated and professional Class A CDL drivers to handle local deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for local routes within the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT hours of service.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs and delivery manifests.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of freight.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move freight as required (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with local route delivery
- Familiarity with the Phoenix metropolitan area road networks
- Experience with various types of trailers (e.g., dry van, reefer)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service
