Job Description
Join Intermountain Healthcare as a Home Health Aide in a supportive and low-stress clinical environment. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in their homes, assisting them with daily living activities and helping them maintain independence. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help patients with safe transfers and ambulation, using appropriate assistive devices.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks relevant to the patient's immediate environment.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by supervising nurses.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (with assistance if needed).
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (formal or informal).
- Completion of a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) training program.
