Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Google Account Auditor with a strong focus on accuracy and finance to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and compliance of financial data related to Google accounts and platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, identifying discrepancies, and providing actionable insights to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK, with a base in Stoke-on-Trent for administrative purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of Google accounts, financial transactions, and related data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in financial records, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement robust audit methodologies and procedures specific to digital advertising and cloud service financial models.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to gather necessary data and support audit processes.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and progress on corrective actions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and Google's financial reporting standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial control processes and systems.
- Provide expert advice on financial accuracy and risk mitigation related to Google accounts.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial auditing, preferably with exposure to digital advertising or tech company financials.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial auditing software and advanced Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements in a remote environment.
- Strong ethical compass and commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Experience with Google Ads, Google Cloud Platform billing, or other Google financial ecosystems.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) for large datasets.
- Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm or a similar large enterprise.
