Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Virtual Support Specialist to join our remote team, focusing exclusively on text and email-based customer inquiries. In this role, you will be the frontline for Google users, providing exceptional support and resolving issues related to various Google products and services. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office anywhere within Wales. Your primary goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction through clear, concise, and accurate written communication, maintaining Google’s high standards of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat/text promptly and professionally.
- Diagnose and resolve technical and non-technical issues related to Google products and services.
- Provide accurate information and clear step-by-step instructions to users.
- Escalate complex issues to senior support or relevant internal teams when necessary.
- Document all interactions and resolutions thoroughly in the CRM system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Google products, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to team knowledge base by identifying trends and suggesting improvements.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards for all interactions.
Required Skills
- Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and spelling.
- Proven ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely through text.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High level of empathy and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and web-based applications.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role, especially chat/email based.
- Familiarity with Google products and services (e.g., Gmail, Google Drive, Google Search, Android).
- Experience using CRM software and support ticketing systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and product updates.
