Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team in Lubbock, TX. This full-time position focuses on providing essential care and support during the afternoon roster, primarily assisting clients in their homes and occasionally providing support at our local clinic. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our patients by offering personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as instructed by a supervising nurse.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Report any changes in client condition or concerns to the supervising nurse promptly.
  • Assist with medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
  • Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the clinic during support shifts.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current HHA certification from an accredited program.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Proven ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
  • Punctuality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Home Health Aide in a professional setting (1+ year).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
