Job Description

As a Hospital Orderly Porter, you will be a crucial part of our patient care team, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital. Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and appointment areas using wheelchairs, trolleys, and beds.
- Assist with the movement of medical equipment, samples, patient records, and other essential items across the hospital premises.
- Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and designated storage areas.
- Respond promptly to requests for portering services from various hospital departments.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff, providing clear directions and support as needed.
- Assist with basic ward duties as required, supporting nurses and other healthcare professionals.
