Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and appointment areas using wheelchairs, trolleys, and beds.
  • Assist with the movement of medical equipment, samples, patient records, and other essential items across the hospital premises.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and designated storage areas.
  • Respond promptly to requests for portering services from various hospital departments.
  • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff, providing clear directions and support as needed.
  • Assist with basic ward duties as required, supporting nurses and other healthcare professionals.
